This whole long weekend starting Friday Aug. 28 - Monday Aug. 31 i have been out of town. We have a rest house in Canlubang, Silangan area. I have 5 dogs that stay there four of them are Labrador Retrivers (3 are balck & 1 is yellow) named DON MAXIMIANO "MAX" (black), SEPIA (yellow), VISTAMAR (black) and ANGARO (black). The fifth dog is a Golden Retriever named ANAKENA. Max, Sepia and Vistamar are actually siblings :) Their father is Angaro and there mother's name was CHARDONNAY.
CHARDONNAY she was a yellow Labrador retriever the first i ever had. She became the love of my life. She was my best pal, she knew all my secrets!! We just had this understanding :) Then one day my dad asks me if i want a black Labrador. Of course i couldn't say no. So then arrived ANGARO. Now here's what happend ANGARO got CHARDONNAY pregnant and in the process of giving birth she died. She gave birth to 7 healthy pups 1 girl and 6 boys. The only girl we had to keep and now she's VISTAMAR we also kept the only black boy who is MAX and we also kept a one yellow boy who is SEPIA :) We sold the 4 other boy colored yellow siblings of theirs.
I don't blame ANGARO for the loss of CHARDONNAY. I mean hello he is a dog for goodness sake but man oh man there is just never a day i don't miss CHARDONNAY <3<3<3

I've been riding in the MANILA POLO CLUB for the past 9 years of my life. The Manila Polo Club has become a breeding ground of high- caliber riders who have etched their mark in the arena of national and world champions.
The equestrian season begins in September and culminates in the annual horse show held in April/May of each year. Weekend Dressage, Gymkhana and Show Jumping competitions are held in the West field or the Big Arena.
The Manila Polo Club also provides riding lessons, stabling facilities, veterinary services and has a one-stop tack store that sells riding equipment and horse supplies :))
The gymkhana is similar to a horse show, riders show their skills in obstacle courses, races and relays. Often gymkhanas are aimed at kids and ponies with the main focus being fun and horsemanship.
Basically the gymkhana is more or less the easiest competition in the equestrian world. Horses are much easier to teach in this kind of skill its more of luck actually then skill if you ask me hehe
The last time i joined a gymkhana i was in grade 5 and it was in Subic. The horse i joined with was named Tia Maria she was white and almost as big as my own horse Princess. For that competition in Subic i could not transport Princess there since my parents dint want so i had to Train and use a horse from Subic and Tia Maria ended up with me :)) i won second place all in all since Tia Maria bit me in the end! It was already the last leg of the Gymkhana and i was holding her reigns by her bit and she actually bit me hahah ill never forget that since she bit me a competitor of mine crossed the finish line before me :( then again it was an experience i will never forget and i loved it :))
I'll post a video for all of you guys to see and understand what actually goes on in a gymkhana. The video im putting will show you guys two kinds of games in the gymkhana the pole and barrel race.I have done the pole race but not yet the barrel race. Although, these two races test the same things the riders sense control in the horse and the speed of what kind of horse you have. it may look easy but when your the one there it aint as easy as it seems. Specially with all the pressure of the time and all.
Last Wednesday (August 26, 2009) we had the privilege to watch the premiere of UNDER THE SEA 3D care of our computer teacher MR.DENNIS SEBASTIAN :) it was at 7pm in SM NORTH EDSA. The show/documentary was such an eye opener for all of us on what the true situation was in the ocean. I personally felt sad when i saw all those corals dying and just turning all white :( Asides from that though everything was good the 3D really heightened everything it was as if we were really under the sea with all those creatures and animals :)) the sharks and the snakes were the best i really freaked the f**k outtta there when they came out since i felt like they were actually out to get me hahaha :D The cutest were the sea lions <3<3<3

So i've discussed in the past 2 out of the 4 competitions in the equestrian world. Now i am in the mood to discuss the 3rd one called DRESSAGE.
Dressage (pronounced dress-ahhzh /ˈdrɛsɑʒ/) (a French term, most commonly translated to mean "training") is a path and destination of competitive horse training, with competitions held at all levels from amateur to the olympics. Its fundamental purpose is to develop, through standardized progressive training methods, a horse's natural athletic ability and willingness to perform, thereby maximizing its potential as a riding. At the peak of a dressage horse's gymnastic development, it can smoothly respond to a skilled rider's minimal aids by performing the requested movement while remaining relaxed and appearing effortless. Dressage is occasionally referred to as "Horse Ballet". Although the discipline has ancient roots, dressage was first recognized as an important equestrian pursuit in the West during the Renaissance. The great European riding masters of that period developed a sequential training system that has changed little since then. Classical Dressage is still considered the basis of trained modern dressage.
Early European aristocrats displayed their horses' training in equestrian pageants, but in modern dressage competition, successful training at the various levels is demonstrated through the performance of "tests" of prescribed series of movements within a standard arena. Judges evaluate each movement on the basis of an objective standard appropriate to the level of the test and assign each movement a score from zero to ten being "not executed" and 10 being "excellent". A score of 9 is considered "very good" and is considered a particularly high mark, while a competitor achieving all 6s (or 60% overall) should be considering moving on to the next level.
In my opinion this is the hardest from all the kinds of equestrian competition. It takes much precision to be a champion in this and tons of patience also!!! the latter is what i lack the most in life hahahaha :D
Yesterday was my first day at work!! Last week i was in this rut of a life i felt bad and super incomplete so i decided why not spend some of my precious time doing something more productive so i tried my luck and i applied as a tutor in tutoring club in Fun Ranch Tiendesitas and low and behold a few days later i got a text that I was accepted and yesterday was my first day at work :)) i taught this girl named Dani she's 12 years old and she goes to ISM. I taught her math and science. I learned she had 50 pets and that she had a younger brother who was 5 haha i really enjoyed and i think this is a start of a new chapter of my life besides nothing wrong i get to torture kiddies and earn at the same time hahahaha :D
Same old shit again my dad just got mad about the same old shit he always gets riled up about haayyy... anyways don't want to think about that it ruins everything!!! So the other day i was able to post some thing about cross country jumping and today i would like to share another kind of competition in the equestrian world called show jumping :) Show jumping is a form of competition in which horses are jumped over a course of fences, low walls, and other obstacles (e.g., water-filled ditches or troughs). Show jumping is a competitive sport consisting of many elements. The course is pre-arranged; the event may be timed or untimed. It is scored by a judge or panel of judges. Show jumping or "jumpers" is a member of a family of English-discipline equestrian events that includes hunters and equitation. Events that include these sports are called hunter/jumper horse shows.
This kind of competition i have joined and boy is it heart raising. All i can say about it is that in this category you really need to know the horse and you should never show any kind of fear or uncertainty since the horse actually feels it :)
Just got home from a very hearty meal from this restaurant called MALACCA. Its an authentic Malaysian restaurant in Jupiter road makati. Its owned by a guy named Philip who apparently is a lasallite hahah we had the salted fish fried rice, nasi goreng, beef rendang, sambal prawns, seafood laksa, vegetable curry, pekking chicken and so much more. My favorite though was the dessert its the malaysian version of halo-halo called ice kacang!!!! thank you MALACCA for the awesome food and of course thank you MR. QUIMSON aka papa for paying for the wonderful food hahaha
Yesterday on Aug 21, 2009 together with some of my school mates and sir Ed and sir Bong we climbed to the peak of Mt. Famy in Siniloan, Laguna. It was a 2 hour car ride to get to the foot of the mountain and it took us another 3 hours to get to the top. When we got to the top there was a beautiful waterfall that flowed down and made a lagoon like place for hikers to swim and relax in! We settled down and had lunch then after about and hour or an hour and a half we got ready again for the long trek back from where we started. The hike back was shorter by an hour so it basically took us 2 hours instead of 3 going back ;) The whole trip was a blast and was such a different experiance that i will never forget it. Although, i was disappointed though with one thing i saw. Apparently the locals use native horses found there to carry the heavy bags of hikers up and down the mountain. These poor malnourished horses were being forced by means of being whipped in the back to climb up the steep and slippery trail we had to walk through also the only main difference is that these horses were being loaded with 50-60 pounds of bags and things. It would have been okay if the horses were well maintained but by one look and you knew they were utterly and completely malnourished :( this photo above is exactly how the horses look with 2 basket like things hanging on each side which usually is full of something heavy every time we saw a horse and sometimes not only was it loaded with things there were people actually riding on top of them with those 2 baskets full of things. Its definitely something sad for me because the horses looked really gone and out of it...
There are 4 kinds of competitions in the world of an equestrian. There is the show jumping competition, dressage, gymkana and cross country jumping.
Cross country equestrian jumping is an endurance test, and is one of the three phases of the sport of eventing; it may also be a competition in its own right, known as hunter trials or simply "cross-country" - these tend to be lower level, local competition.
In laymans terms cross country jumping is an event in the equestrian world where the horse and the rider go through a jumping course with the terrain of a usual forrest or rather gives you a countryside feel.
I personally have never joined a cross country jumping show but i have tried to complete one. it may look easier than the usual bars that are set up just for jumping shows but you'd actually be surprised jumps there wider and some of them actually contian jumping over water like streams or ponds.
Today i went to a book launch at around 5pm in the Manila Polo Club. The book that was being launched was about my great grandfather's life and his achievements as a person. The book was done as a tribute by his grandchildren to what a wonderful life he lead and how many people he helped :) and in this event awhile ago i bumped into my first ever instructor in horseback my Tita Mia. My Tita Mia is the first cousin of my mom, so when i turned grade 5 and i showed interest in riding horses my mom automatically enrolled me in the classed of Tita Mia. Today though when i saw her all the old memories came flowing back as if everything had just happend yesterday....
I would like to introduce to you my passion and they are horses! :) All kinds of horses from native horses all the way to miniature horses. i will list down all the different kind of breeds of horses! get to know them and maybe you might discover a passion you yourself never though off :D

My personal favorite and something i would truly want is the shetland pony <3 its not a normal size horse its actually a miniature one and I have always dreamed to have a pet like it one day :))
