BOOOOoooooTTTssss. . . . .

Riders in the equestrian field wear only 2 kinds of boots they are either long cut or short cut boots. Long cut boots cover a persons whole lower leg right before the knee and the low cut boots only cover a few inches above the knee. Sort of like a basket ball shoe but made of leather with a little heel. Both boots though have heels since this is needed when kicking the horse in the stomach which is a signal for them to move or go faster when moving already.

You can also add one accessory to your boots its called spurs. Spurs are metal fixtures that are supposed to be connected to the back side of the foot, outside of the boot. This makes it easier for the rider to kick the horse in the belly since they would need less effort to make the horse feel the kick.

Either kind whether low cut or short cut is good. They both do the same things. Both leather and have a little bit of a heel. The only thing is in formal equestrian you need long cut boots since its part of the attire.

Here are some samples of high cut and low cut boots :)

ALLERGY :(((

My allergies started yesterday morning and still haven't stopped until now super itchy my feet my calves and my toes :((( i drank so much virlix already hopefully it subsides soon its been 24 hours already:(

Bumps Bruises and much much more...

I want to share to people that horseback riding has much risk specially when it some to safety. Our health as human beings are majorly jeopardized once we ride on the back of a horse. This is because we never know how the horse can react and what the horse can do. The fact is that a horse is still an animal and all animals are not rational. These horses we ride on everyday are as unpredictable as can be thus putting are lives at risk.

Many known people have been injured all their lives due to falling from a horse. The first person who comes to mind is Christopher Reeve he became a vegetable due to one hard fall form his horse. Riding a horse is no joke. One not so known fact i can share with everyone not so familiar with horses is that horses can smell when the rider is nervous or unsure of himself/herself. There is a certain hormone that we humans emit through our pores when we are nervous or unsure of what we are doing. Once the horse smells that his/her rider feels this way even they now feel uneasy as well making them even more unpredictable. So just a little tip when riding a horse even if you don't know how just try to act as if your okay, for your own sake hahah :)

Check out these wild falls in all the 4 kinds of equestrian competition there are:

My doogies :))

This whole long weekend starting Friday Aug. 28 - Monday Aug. 31 i have been out of town. We have a rest house in Canlubang, Silangan area. I have 5 dogs that stay there four of them are Labrador Retrivers (3 are balck & 1 is yellow) named DON MAXIMIANO "MAX" (black), SEPIA (yellow), VISTAMAR (black) and ANGARO (black). The fifth dog is a Golden Retriever named ANAKENA. Max, Sepia and Vistamar are actually siblings :) Their father is Angaro and there mother's name was CHARDONNAY.

CHARDONNAY she was a yellow Labrador retriever the first i ever had. She became the love of my life. She was my best pal, she knew all my secrets!! We just had this understanding :) Then one day my dad asks me if i want a black Labrador. Of course i couldn't say no. So then arrived ANGARO. Now here's what happend ANGARO got CHARDONNAY pregnant and in the process of giving birth she died. She gave birth to 7 healthy pups 1 girl and 6 boys. The only girl we had to keep and now she's VISTAMAR we also kept the only black boy who is MAX and we also kept a one yellow boy who is SEPIA :) We sold the 4 other boy colored yellow siblings of theirs.

I don't blame ANGARO for the loss of CHARDONNAY. I mean hello he is a dog for goodness sake but man oh man there is just never a day i don't miss CHARDONNAY <3<3<3

Here are picture of the 3 pups we have now VISTAMAR*MAX*SEPIA during there 2nd doctors appointment :)

The Manila Polo Club

I've been riding in the MANILA POLO CLUB for the past 9 years of my life. The Manila Polo Club has become a breeding ground of high- caliber riders who have etched their mark in the arena of national and world champions.

The equestrian season begins in September and culminates in the annual horse show held in April/May of each year. Weekend Dressage, Gymkhana and Show Jumping competitions are held in the West field or the Big Arena.

The Manila Polo Club also provides riding lessons, stabling facilities, veterinary services and has a one-stop tack store that sells riding equipment and horse supplies :))

GYMKHANA FUN! FUN! FUN!

The gymkhana is similar to a horse show, riders show their skills in obstacle courses, races and relays. Often gymkhanas are aimed at kids and ponies with the main focus being fun and horsemanship.

Basically the gymkhana is more or less the easiest competition in the equestrian world. Horses are much easier to teach in this kind of skill its more of luck actually then skill if you ask me hehe

The last time i joined a gymkhana i was in grade 5 and it was in Subic. The horse i joined with was named Tia Maria she was white and almost as big as my own horse Princess. For that competition in Subic i could not transport Princess there since my parents dint want so i had to Train and use a horse from Subic and Tia Maria ended up with me :)) i won second place all in all since Tia Maria bit me in the end! It was already the last leg of the Gymkhana and i was holding her reigns by her bit and she actually bit me hahah ill never forget that since she bit me a competitor of mine crossed the finish line before me :( then again it was an experience i will never forget and i loved it :))

I'll post a video for all of you guys to see and understand what actually goes on in a gymkhana. The video im putting will show you guys two kinds of games in the gymkhana the pole and barrel race.I have done the pole race but not yet the barrel race. Although, these two races test the same things the riders sense control in the horse and the speed of what kind of horse you have. it may look easy but when your the one there it aint as easy as it seems. Specially with all the pressure of the time and all.
